Fusion Process
1. Check the temperature
Once the Welding fusion machine is on, check the temperature, which must be range between 253 ºC and 274 ºC.
2. Cut the Pipe
Cut the pipe at a 90 º angle using a Pipe Cutter.
3. Mark the Pipe
Mark the pipe for depth of penetration into the heater bush.
4. Heat Pipe & Fitting
Push the pipe and the fitting into the heating tool. The mark on the pipe must stay outside the heater bush. Once the pipe and fitting are hot (after the correct heating time – Table A), pull out the pipe and fitting very slowly.
5. Join Pipe & Fitting
Join the pipe and fitting by pushing them together until the pipe reaches the mark. The mark must remain on the outside. Whilst joining the pipe and fitting, ensure that they both remain static and do not rotate.
